Aging: French oak barrique with
periods varying from 4 to 6 months.

Organoleptic Profile: Garnet red wine,
intense, fruity and clean aroma. Strong flavour and
soft with notes of wood and coffee.
Food Pairing: Excellent with sauces,
roasts, game and red meats.

History: The existence of a wine produced from
grapes of the Montepulciano d'Abruzzo vine are found
in the writings of the Greek historian Polybius (we are at
between the third and second century BC), which
they tell of how, during the Punic Wars, the
general and Carthaginian “Heros” (Hero) Hannibal
offered “cups” to the soldiers to invigorate them and relieve them
the hardships of battle.
